PC110 No.14 現状 確認 to ［English Note］
この「No.14:桧」も、頂き物のひとつで、当初は「DSTN-LCD」に表示が出なくて、一時的に「TFT-LCD」を仮り搭載していた。
その不良化していた「DSTN-LCD」を、「No.11:二上」上で修理・確認し、再び、この「No.14:桧」に戻した。
なので、現状は、「PC110」"本来の構成"で、"表示不具合を修理"しただけの、健常状態だ。
強いて難を言えば、（画像無信号時に）バックライトを点灯しただけだと、画面の中央部が、周りより少し明るくて、明暗にムラが出ていること。
それ以外は、画面の"輝度"も"コントラスト"も、標準状態（だろうと思う）で、大変結構！（新品同様！？）
"Easy Setup"のテストでの結果も、上々！（図２［クリック］）
インターネット閲覧も、問題無し！（図１）
また、"FD"からの起動も正常だ。これは、新らしいCFに、OSをインストールする際に必須だもんな。
"音"も異常無しだが、うっかり、"ヘッドフォン・ジャック"に"モノラル・プラグ"を差して、ここを壊してしまわないように気を付けないといけないぞ！と、自分を戒めている。

＋＋＋ ネット・ブラウジング、Pasonaware ＋＋＋
「PC110」では、"ブラウザ"は、「IE.5.5」が上限で、これより後期のものは、動作したとしても、重過ぎて、とても使い物にならない。
「IE.5.5」も、昨今の守秘通信方式（https://）には対応出来なくて、殆どのサイトが閲覧出来ない。
でも、「Google」の画像検索では、沢山の画像が拾えるのが救いだ。
また、「PC110」関連の旧いサイト（主に日本語）は、未だ閲覧可能なようだ。
探せば、英語版の閲覧可能なサイトが、あるかもしれない。
先日、時々（"Google Chrome"などで）拝見している「Dynaの秋葉原ジャンクパラダイス」が、"http://”でアクセス出来ることに気が付いた。
それで、試しに、この「No.14:桧」（IE.5.5）でアクセスしてみた。
（途中、何故か時間が掛かったが、）ちゃんと、閲覧出来ることが分かった！（図３）
さて、「内蔵フラッシュ・メモリ」には、通常「Pasonaware」が入っているが、これは、「PC110」が（FD無し、CF無し、PCカード無しの）裸一貫でも、ちゃんと、"一応の動作"は出来るようにしてあるわけだ。
しかし、私は、偶に、これを壊してしまうことがある。
だが、ジャンク本体が、（他のドライブから起動出来ても、）FDから起動出来なくなると、此処に（自力で起動可能な）「Pasonaware」を組み込むことが出来なくなる。
今は、そうしたマシンは、そのまま放置しているが、どうやら、"進行性の病持ち"らしいので、無理して組み込むこともあるまいと思っている。
．．．それはさて置き、現「No.14:桧」は、至って健康で、その「Pasonaware」もしっかり活きている！（図４［クリック］）

PC110 No.14:Hinoki/JP Cypress, Current status
This " No.14:Hinoki/Japanese cypress " is also one of the gifts, and initially it was not displayed any on the (damaged original)"DSTN-LCD" screen. I equipped the "TFT-LCD" on it.
I repaired the defective "DSTN-LCD" and confirmed on "No.11:Futakami", and I returened it to "No.14:Hinoki/JP Cypress" again.
So, at present, this "PC110" is in a healthy state, as "original configuration" and "repaired display defects".
Speaking weak point, when the backlight is turned on (at no image signal), the center of the screen is a little brighter than the surroundings, and the light and darkness is uneven.
Other than that, the "brightness" and "contrast" of the screen are in the standard state (I think), very good! (Like new !?)
The results of the Test of "Easy Setup" are also excellent! ( Fig.2 [click] )
Internet browsing is no problem! ( Fig.1 )
Also, booting from "FD" is normal. This is indispensable when installing the OS on the new CF.
"Sound" is normal, but I have to be careful not to accidentally plug the "headphone jack" into the "monaural plug" and break it! I warn myself.

+++ Internet browsing, Pasonaware +++
In "PC110", "browser" is limited to "IE.5.5" And later ones, even if they work, are too heavy to use.
"IE.5.5" also cannot support the recent confidential communication method (with https: //), and most sites cannot be browsed.
However, the image search of "Google" can be giving me a lot of images.
Also, it seems that old sites related to "PC110" (mainly Japanese) can still be browsed.
If I look for it, there may be an English version of the site available for viewing.
The other day, I noticed that " Dyna's Akihabara Junk Paradise " can be accessed with "http://" (with "Google Chrome", etc.).
So, I tried to access it with this "No.14:Hinoki/JP cypress" (IE.5.5).
I found that I could browse it properly, though it took some time on the way. (Fig.3)
By the way, "Built-in flash memory" usually contains "Pasonaware", but this is "PC110" is consistently naked (no FD, no CF, no PC card), "temporary operation" is possible.
But I happen to break this (of other junk machine).
However, if the junk itself cannot be booted from the FD (even if it can be booted from another drive), it will not be possible to incorporate "Pasonaware" (which can be booted by itself) here.
Right now, I've left those machines as they are, but apparently they have a "progressive illness", so I don't think I'll force them into the machine.
... Putting it aside, the current "No.14:Hinoki/JP cypress" is extremely healthy, and the "Pasonaware" is also alive and well! (Fig.4[click] )
