PC110 No.5 現状 確認 ［to Check current (English)］
この「No.5：五郎（仮称）」（6型WVGA-TFT-LCD）は、今一番の働き者だ。
主に、「WVGA-TFT-LCD」用の"補助プログラム"のデバッグや改修、試験などに頻繁に活躍している。でも、決して、五体満足なわけではない。
先ず、FDDから、OSの立ち上げ/Bootが出来ないことだ。
「Win95」からは、ちゃんと"FD内容の読み書き"も出来るのだが、Bootだけは不可。
次は、"赤色"出力が正常でないことだ。
幾度も原因を探っているのだが、分からず。（もしかしたら、LSI端子の出力異常ではないかと思うが）
それに、スピーカ音が壊れていて、ガラガラ音しか出ない。
他は、前枠の窓が、形良く整ってないこと。
"6型WVGA-TFT-LCD"を置いたため、止む無く、"IBMロゴ"は、切り落としてある。
勿論、これは、予備の前枠が1枚あるので、それを使って、どのような形の前枠にでも替えられるのだが、どのようにするか、まだ最終決定を下していない。
「メモリ」は、自作の「16MB」を足して、"20MB"にしてある。
「無線LANカード」は、「WLI-PCM-L11GP」を使っていて、"インターネット閲覧"が出来る。（図１）
尤も、「IE.5.5」での画像閲覧が主だが、以前のPC110関連サイトの多くは、未だ"内容の閲覧"が可能なので、私は、目下巡回拝見中。（図２［クリック］）

＋＋＋ 「DC-DCコンバータ」の増設 ＋＋＋
この「No.5:五郎」の"バックライト／BackLight"も、以前は、"液晶駆動用高電圧"を使っていたのだが、先日、適当な「DC-DCコンバータ（MT3608）」が手に入ったので、それを使った方式（INV 電源使用）に切り替えることにした。（図３）
（時期的には、「No.4:四郎」よりも、処置は早かった）
"ノイズによる画面の乱れ"があって、少し心配したが、4.5μF/50Vの「バイパス・コンデンサ」1個で、ほゞ抑えられた。（図４［クリック］）
（後で、「No.4:四郎」でやったように、「パスコン」を2個使わなくても、済んでいた）
．．．"ノイズ対策には王道が無い"というのが通説だが、全くその通りではある。
＋＋＋ 赤色が変だ！ ＋＋＋
この「No.5:五郎」は、以前は、異常が無かったが、最近になって、色異常が発生した。（図５）
これは、本体の劣化の一種だろうと思うが、一応、何処の箇所かを調べてみた。
「WVGA-TFT-LCD」の異常を疑って、別の物と入れ替えてみたが、同じような異常だった。
また、（手製）「中継基板」に異常が無いかどうかを、ルーペ使って丹念に調べてみた。
"半田外れ"や、"ブリッジ"など、後からでも起きる可能性があるから、2，3回"再半田付け"も試みた。
最後に、「オシロスコープ」で、信号を追っ掛けたら、赤色信号の1本が、出力が弱っていたので、恐らくこれの所為だろうと思う。
奇妙なことに、明るい方（加色混合か？）では、大きな異常が無さそうなので、解釈がし難くなった。
残念ながら、この異常は手の施しようが無い。これは、このまま維持して行こうと思う。
＋＋＋ FD（フロッピ・ディスク）の読み書き ＋＋＋
このマシンも、FDからブートが出来ない。
これで困るのは、一度壊した"内蔵フラッシュ・メモリ（4MB）"に、再度「Pasonaware」を組み込めないのと、其処からの起動も出来ないことだ。
正常な（はずの）「ポトリ」＋「FDD」の組合せを使ってもブート出来ないので、やはり、これは本体の劣化によるものだろうと思う。
だが、"FD"が全く読めないのかというと、そうでもない。
「Win95」で起動して、"FD"をアクセスすると、ちゃんと読み書き出来るのだ。
だから、"ハードウェア"ではなくて、"ソフトウェア"の問題のような気もするのだが、もう、私の手には負えないかな。

PC110 No.5 Check the current status
This "No.5:Goro (tentative name)" (6-inch WVGA-TFT-LCD) is the hardest worker right now.
Mainly it has become use frequently for debugging, refurbishment, testing, etc. of "auxiliary programs" for "WVGA-TFT-LCD". It is coming. However, This machine is not enough healthy bodies.
First, from FDD, OS boot/Boot cannot be done .
From "Win95", I can read and write "FD contents" properly, but Boot is not possible.
Next is that "red" output is not normal.
I've been searching for the cause many times, but I don't know. (Maybe the output of the LSI terminal is abnormal)
Besides, the speaker sound is broken and only rattle sound is produced.
The other is that the windows on the front frame are not well-shaped.
Since the "6-inch WVGA-TFT-LCD" was placed, the "IBM logo" was cut off.
Of course, this has one spare front frame, so I can use it to replace it with any shape of front frame, but I haven't made a final decision on how to do it.
"Memory" is "20MB" by adding homemade "16MB".
"Wireless LAN card" uses "WLI-PCM-L11GP" and can "browse the Internet". (Fig.1)
However, most of viewed items with "IE.5.5" are images, but many of the previous PC110 related sites I'm currently on a patrol because I can still "view the contents". ( Fig.2 [click] )

+++ Addition of "DC-DC converter" +++
The "BackLight" of this "No.5:Goro" used to use "high voltage for LCD drive", but the other day, an appropriate I got a DC-DC converter (MT3608) " , so I decided to switch to the method using it (using INV power supply). ( Fig.3 )
(In terms of time, the treatment was faster than "No.4:Shiro")
I was a little worried because there was "screen disturbance due to noise", but it was suppressed by one 4.5μF/50V "bypass capacitor". (Fig.4 [click] )
(Later, not as I did in "No.4:Shiro", I didn't have to use two "capacutors" in this case.)
... It is generally accepted that there is no royal road to noise control, but that is exactly the case.
+++ The red color is strange ! +++
This "No.5:Goro" had no abnormalities before, but recently, a color abnormality has occurred. (Fig.5)
I think this is a kind of deterioration of the main body, but for the time being, I investigated where it was.
I suspected that the "WVGA-TFT-LCD" was abnormal and replaced it with another one, but it was the same.
Also, I carefully checked whether there was any abnormality in the (handmade) "relay board" using a loupe.
I also tried "re-soldering" a couple of times because "soldering" and "bridge" may occur later.
Finally, when I chased the signal with an "oscilloscope", one of the red signals had a weak output, so I think this is probably the reason.
Oddly enough, the brighter one (additive color mixture ?) Seems to have no major anomalies, making it difficult to interpret.
Unfortunately, this anomaly is beyond control. I will keep this as it is.
+++ FD (floppy disk) reading/writing +++
This machine also cannot boot from FD.
The problem with this is that i cannot re-install "Pasonaware" in the "built-in flash memory (4MB)" that was once destroyed, and i cannot start from there.
Even if I use the normal (should) "Potori" + "FDD" combination, I still can't boot, so I think this is probably due to the deterioration of the main unit.
However, about not read "FD" at all, that's not the case.
If with "Win95" and access "FD", can read and write properly.
So it feels like a "software" issue, not a "hardware" issue, but I can't handle it anymore.
