3rd : 16MB(FP type) board.

The 3rd article is also about 16MB board which is similar to that in the 2nd article but different. This type (FP) has not any problem such as I mentioned at the 2nd article.
This FP type (65160) 32MB memory module is older than the EDO type (65165), so you may find it harder than the EDO type in today's market.
Once, we had been able to buy some 32MB modules of Panasonic AL-N1. In these days, it seems to become one of hard-to-get parts.

Connections and wiring.
This FP type 16MB is different from the 2nd (the EDO type 16MB) at the point that you need not to connect the *UCAS to the *OE pin.
The pins of *WE, *RAS, *OE, *UCAS and *LCAS should be lifted off from the base, and be tied to each suitable land.

We can take another method such that the A0, A1, A10, A11 lines are cut off from the connector on the circuitry pattern, and two chips are kept tied with those lines.
There are no fixed locations for cut, so easy-to-cut positions should be selected. The red circles in the right picture show the example of cut locations.

Pre-repairing the board as a base.
The left picture is an example of the FP type 16MB board, and it may be instructive. This shows it was possible to repair the board even if patterns of the 4MB board had peeled here and there by previous bad handling.
After the repair, wiring for 16MB could be done.
Surely, wiring would be more simple, if the base board had not needed no repair.

Examples the 16MB board.
In any way, to use the 65160 chips may be the best way to get the 16MB board. It will permit simple wiring, and will promise less trouble in the PC110's operations.
The right picture shows two samples of the 16MB board with a slightly different wiring.
