PC110 No.10, 11 現状 確認 to ［English Note］
「No.10：葛城」、「No.11：二上」は共に、当初から不調だったが、日毎に劣化が進んで来ているようで、電源SWを入れる度に、電源は入るが、進行が鈍くなって来ていた。（図１）
今日、遂に、「No.10：葛城」の方の、電源が入り難くなり、もう、正常には起動しなくなった。
電源が入っても、"液晶表示"が出ないし（今まで出ていた）"メモリ表示"も見えない。
「No.11:二上」も、起動可能だったのは、「PCカード・スロット」のみ。
そこに、（PCカード型）「Viper 260」を差して、起動していたのだが、現在は起動出来ていない。
しかし、こちらの方は、「F1キー」押しで、"Easy-Setup"には入れるし、"Start up"や"Test"にも入れる。（図２［クリック］）
（まぁ、これが出来なくなるのも、時間の問題かもしれないが）
こんな風に、徐々に、劣化して行く原因が何処にあるのか、想定するのは、大変に難しい。
多分、それぞれ違った箇所の"劣化"だろうが、ほゞ、同じ時期にそうなって行くとしたら、現象・症状は違っていても、似たような箇所かもしれない、などと考えている。
色々、"原因と修復"の仮説を立ててみているが、一番ありそうなのは"電源系統の不良”だが、もし、それが"電源ユニット"だけであれば、修理に挑戦し易いんだがなぁ、と毎度、嘆息している。
尤も、"電源系統"だとしても、探り出すには、相当の"根気／粘り"が必要だろうな。

＋＋＋ 「No.11：二上」 ＋＋＋
この「No.11：二上」の"表示画面"は、修復の可能性に期待を込めて、比較的綺麗に仕上がった"FSTN-LCD"に替えてある。
だが、「B/L（BackLight）」は、画面がかなり暗かったので、"CCFL"を"LED"に替えて、少し明るくした。（図３）（まだ、不十分だが）
このマシンは、当初から、「Win95」は起動し難かったが、稀に、それが起動する時があった。（図４［クリック］）
しかし、終了時に"誤書き込み"が起きる為か、「Win95」が次第に壊れて来て、やがて起動出来なくなって来た。
この「Viper 260」に「Win95」を書き込むのは、別のマシンでやらねばならないし、今は面倒なので、修復はしていない。
＋＋＋ 「No.10：葛城」 ＋＋＋
このマシンも、以前は、「Win95」が起動出来ていたのだが、今は、電源投入後の正常動作すら覚束ない状態だ。
"メモリ表示"も出ないし、"カーソルの点滅"から先へは進まなくなってしまった。（図５）
奇妙だが、"カーソルの点滅"は「外部ディスプレイ」でしか見られない。「FSTN-LCD」には、何も現れない。
これに使っている「FSTN-LCD」は、「補償フィルム」、「偏光フィルム」を貼る際に、（失敗せずに）沢山の気泡は入らず、比較的綺麗に出来上がっているので、此のマシンに、このまま残しておくのは勿体無い？．．．かもしれない。（図６［クリック］）
しかし、それは、虎の皮と同じで、本体が完全に死んでしまってからでも遅くはない。
今は、未だ電源投入の瞬間から本体の動きを追跡するには、「FSTN-LCD」が必須だ。
＋＋＋ 劣化と起動部 ＋＋＋
これまでに、分かって来たことのひとつに、"起動デバイス"の劣化に順序があるらしいことだ。
一番、最初に、「FD」からの起動が出来なくなる。
（ただし、「Win95」などからなら、FDの内容は読み書きは出来るだろう）
次に、「内蔵フラッシュ」からの起動が、出来なくなるようだ。
その次に、「CF」から、起動出来なくなる。これは、「内蔵フラッシュ」と同時期になるかもしれない。
何故か最後に残るのは、「PCカードHDD」からで、其処でなら「Viper 260」のようなメディアを使って起動出来る。
（このHDDは、初めてアクセスされると、微かに"チュイーン♪"と鳴いて回転／起動するのが、面白い♪）
奇妙なことだが、「CF」＋「PCカード・アダプタ」だと、上手く起動出来ないことがあった。
そして、最後の最後には、どのメディアからも、起動が出来なくなる。
電源は入っていて、「液晶インジケータ」には表示が出るが、動作はしていない状態が、最後の状態のようだ。
こうした状況を、劣化の原因と結び付けようとしても、なかなか難しいが、
参考記録として残しておく。

PC110 No.10, 11 Confirmation of current status
Both "No.10:Katsuragi" and "No.11:Futakami" were in poor condition from the beginning, but they seem to be deteriorating day by day. So, every time I turned on the power switch, the power turned on, but the progress was slowing down. (Fig.1)
Today, at last, the power of "No.10:Katsuragi" became difficult to turn on, and it no longer started normally.
Even when the power is turned on, the "LCD display" does not appear and the "memory display" (which has been displayed until now) cannot be seen.
Currently, about "No.11:Futakami" only "PC card slots" can be started.
Insert the (PC card type) "Viper 260" into it and start it.
But, on this machine, press "F1 key" to enter "Easy-Setup", and then "Start up" or Also into "Test". (Fig.2 [click])
(Well, unfortunately, I don't think it's going to be long before I can't do this)
It is very difficult to imagine where the cause of deterioration is gradually deteriorating like this.
Probably, "deterioration" in different places, but if it happens at the same time, even if the phenomenon/symptomatism is different, it will be similar to that it may be a place like this.
I've been trying to make various hypotheses about "cause and repair", but the most likely one is "power system failure", but if it's just the "power supply unit", though it's easy to try to repair it. , And sighs every time.
However, even if it's a "power lines", it will take a considerable amount of "perseverance/tenacity" to find out strictry.

+++ "No.11:Futakami" +++
The "display screen" of this "No.11:Futakami" is relatively beautifully finished with the expectation of the possibility of repair. "FSTN-LCD It has been replaced with".
However, the screen of "B/L (BackLight)" was quite dark, so I changed "CCFL" to "LED" and made it a little brighter. (But not enough yet)
On this machine, from the beginning, "Win95" was difficult to boot, but there was a time to do it rarely. (Fig.4 [click])
However, probably because "wrong writing" occurs at the end, "Win95" gradually breaks down, and eventually I can't start it.
Writing "Win95" to this "Viper 260" has to be done on another machine, and now it's a hassle, so repair is Not done.
+++ "No.10:Katsuragi" +++
This machine was also able to start "Win95" before.
But now, even after powr on, it does not occure to the normal operation, and it's in a state of being unconscious.
"Memory display" did not appear, and I could not proceed from "cursor blinking". ( Fig.5 )
Oddly enough, "cursor blinking" can only be seen on an "External display".
Nothing appears on the "FSTN-LCD".
The "FSTN-LCD" used for this is a machine that is relatively beautiful because it does not contain many bubbles (no mistake) when the "compensation film" and "polarizing film" are applied. Isn't it a waste to leave it as it is ? ... Maybe. Fig.6 [click]
But it's the same as a tiger's skin, and it's not too late even after the body is completely dead.
Now, this "FSTN-LCD" is indispensable to be shown the movement of the main body from the moment the power is turned on.
+++ Deterioration and start-up part +++
One of the things I've learned so far is that there seems to be an order in the deterioration of "boot devices".
First and foremost, I will not be able to boot from "FD".
(However, if I use "Win95" etc., I will be able to read and write the contents of the FD.)
Next, it seems that booting from the "built-in Flash" will not be possible.
After that, it cannot be started from "CF". This may coincide with the "built-in flash".
For some reason, the last thing that remains is the "PC Card HDD", which can be booted using media such as "Viper 260".
(When this HDD is accessed for the first time, it is interesting about generating a smaller "tune ♪" sound and rotate/start it.)
Oddly enough, "CF" + "PC Card Adapter" sometimes didn't start up properly.
And at the very end, I will not be able to boot from any media.
The power is on and the small "LCD indicator" shows a display, but the state where it is not operating seems to be the last state.
It is quite difficult to link this situation to the cause of deterioration, I'll keep it as a reference record.
