No.12：樫 現状確認＆画面拡大 ［to Current situation and with large screen］
この「No.12:樫」は、正常動作する、（当苑唯一の）正規の"DSTN-LCD"を備えたマシンで、不良化していた"液晶表示"の"制御回路"を、"電解コンデンサ"の入れ替えで、治して、正常に表示出来るようにしたものだ。
これを"マルチ・ブート方式"（図１）で働かせようとして、「Win98」に「IE5.5」をインストールしようとしたら、"CF-1GB"では、"ディスク不足"の警告が出た！（図２［クリック］）
（なーに、私の配分の仕方が拙かっただけなんだが）
"CF-2GB"も用意してあるので、これに載せ替えることにした。
以前からトライしていた、"CFディスクのクローン化"は、全て不成功に終わっている。
そこで、今回は、「MBM」（TFT用の「TMBM」ではない）を使い、一から始めて、「PC-DOS/Win3.1」、「Win95B」、「Win98」、（内蔵フラッシュ側：「Pasonaware」）を全部詰め込んだ「Multi Boot CF」を作った。
しかし、文字が小さい上に、画面の"コントラスト"がやや低いので、途中で（私の）眼がショボショボ！
そこで、画面上に「8型拡大ディスプレイ」を被せて、これを見ながら作業をしたら、大変見易いので、作業も大幅なスピードアップが図れた♪
やはり、文字が大きくて、見易いのは、"三文の得だ！"（笑）

＋＋＋ マルチブートCFの作成 ＋＋＋
以前、旧いソフトで、"CFのクローン"が出来ていた（筈な）ので、それを掘り返して来て、試してみた。
しかし、"マルチ・ブート系"は、まるっきりダメだった。
勝手に、"システム領域"を作ってしまって、類似どころではない別の構造に変えてしまっていた。
つまり、"ファイル群コピー"しか出来ないらしい。
ブート・マネジャ「MBM」を使わせて貰って、"2GB-CF"で、新たに"マルチブートCF"を作成した。（図３右側）
これには、「TFT-LCD」対応は必要無いので、「TMBM」の方は使わない。
（うっかり、それを使ったら、「DSTN-LCD」画面がオレンジ色一色になってしまった。苦笑）
「2GB-CF」の容量配分は、Win95,98用として、約800MBを確保した。（図４［クリック］｝
これだけあれば、もう文句は出まい？！
しかし、再び「マルチ・ブートCF」を作ってみて、なかなかに面倒だ！と思い知った。
1回毎に、06⇔16と切り替えて、Cドライブを一ヶ所だけにして、その個所に各OSをインストールし、再び「MBM」を組み込む、という手順をきちんと繰り返さないといけない。
途中の手抜き（省略など）は許されなかった。
しかし、仕上がってみると、「PC-DOS」、「Win95」、「Win98」が、自由自在に切り替えて使えるので、なかなか便利。
まだ、具体例は無いが、「Win95」では使えないソフトも、「Win98」では活かせるかもしれない。
＋＋＋ 8型だと、大変見易い♪ ＋＋＋
OSをインストールしていると、大枠では、自動的に進むので、見難さは、あまり気にならなかったが、ドライバを組込む時になって、「DSTN-LCD」のコントラストの低さが災いして、"メッセージ"や"数値"が読み難くて仕方がない。
単に、壁紙を表示しているだけだったら、そんなに見難くは無いんだけどなぁ！（図６［クリック］｝
そこで、一計を案じた。
先日作った「8型拡大ディスプレイ」を使うことだ！
これだと、文字が大きく表示されて、随分見易くなるはず。．．．なった！（図５）
そして、何故だか、ホッとした♪
やはり、（本来の）「4.7インチDSTN-LCD」では、少し小さ過ぎるのかもしれないなぁ。
しかし、昨今の"スマホ"や"iPhone"の画面サイズに比べたら、左程、劣りはしないのに、何故？
"iPhone"などは、画面が狭くて小さくても、"高速処理"や"画像・アイコンの多用"が、それを補っているのかもしれない。
「PC110」に、それを真似ろっていうわけにも行かぬが。
此の「8型」もなかなか良いが、「7型」で、もう少しコンパクトにしたら、どう見えるかな？

No.12:Kashi/Oak status check & screen enlargement
This "No.12:Kashi/Oak" is a machine equipped with a regular "DSTN-LCD" that works normally except the display, and damaged "control circuit" of the "liquid crystal display" was cured by replacing the "electrolytic capacitor" so that it could be displayed normally .
After with the "multi-boot method" (Fig.1), When I try to install "IE5.5" on "Win98", "CF-1GB" has said "Disk size insufficient" warning ! ( Fig.2 [click] )
(Well, as I just didn't allocate suitablely those size.)
"CF-2GB" is also available, so I decided to replace it.
But, the "CF disk cloning" I've been trying for a long time has all been unsuccessfull.
So, this time, I used clean installation with Boot-Manager"MBM" (not "TMBM" for TFT).
I made a "Multi Boot CF" packed all such as "PC-DOS/Win3.1", "Win95B", "Win98" and "Pasonaware"(for internal Flash).
However, the characters on screen are small and the "contrast" of the screen is a little low, so my eyes were crying on the way !
Therefore, if I cover the screen with "8-inch enlarged display" and work while watching this, it will be very easy to see !
Work was also greatly speeded up ♪
After all, the large letters and easy-to-read are "San-mon no toku / Will get a small benefit" g(^^)

+++ Creating a multi-boot CF +++
Previously, I had be able to make some "CF clone" with old software, so I dug it up and tried it.
However, for the "multi-boot system" it was completely useless.
It created a "system area" without my permission and changed the original to another structure that is not similar.
In other words, it seems that only like "files copy" can be done.
I created a new "multi-boot CF" with "2GB-CF". ( Fig.3 right side)
This does not require "TFT-LCD" support, so "TMBM" is not used.
(Inadvertently, when I used it, the "DSTN-LCD" screen turned all orange.(><;
About 800MB was secured for the capacity allocation of "2GB-CF" for Win95, 98. (Fig.4 [click]}
With all this, it can't complain anymore !?
However, trying to make "Multi Boot CF" again is quite troublesome, though it should be !
I have to repeat the procedure of switching between 06⇔16 each time, leaving only one C drive, installing each OS in that place, and incorporating "MBM" again.
No omissions were allowed on the way.
However, when finished, "PC-DOS", "Win95", "Win98" can be freely switched and used, so I feel that it is convenient.
There is no concrete example yet, but software that cannot be used with "Win95" may be used with "Win98".
+++ 8 inch is very easy to see ♪ +++
When the OS is installed, it will proceed automatically in general, so I didn't really care about the difficulty of seeing it.
If I'll just displaying images such as a wallpaper, it's not that hard to see. ( Fig.6 [click] )
But when I was installing drivers, the low contrast of the "DSTN-LCD" was a weak point, and the "message" and "numerical value" are difficult to read.
So I made a plan.
Let use the "8-inch enlarged display" that I made the other day !
With this, the characters will be displayed larger and should be much easier to see. ... it became ! ( Fig.5 )
Anyways, I was relieved ♪
After all, the (original) "4.7 inch DSTN-LCD" may be a little too small.
However, compared to the screen size of "smart-phones" and "iPhones" these days, it is not inferior to the left, why ?
Even if the screen of "iPhone" etc., is narrow and small, "high-speed processing" and "much use of images and icons" may make up for it.
Surely, I can't use such manner to "PC110".
This "8-inch" is also quite good, but what would it look like if I use "7-inch" ?
